Xbox 360 Repair Centre
The number of defected Xbox 360 devices is estimated to be about one third of all the pieces produced. The most common error encountered by most of the customers is the 3 red lights error. The main problem is not the sudden freezing of the device but the attitude of the repair centers which refuse to admit the console for repair. This is because of the large number of defected pieces and the ever increasing number of complaints by the customers, which often exceeds the capacity of the repair centre to cater to or the fact that the damage might be irreparable.

The 3 Red light error is a fault of the motherboard which causes overheating. This is due to the poor design of the gaming console which results in overheating of the machine and thus freezing of the console. Although the fault has been identified, some parts of the error are not easy to repair and the cost of the fixing gives the "repair centre" an opportunity to ignore the constant calls by the agitated customers.

However, since there are a large number of defected Xbox 360 consoles, one cannot really blame the contractors at the repair centers for their attitude. Micro Mart is one of the repair centers that recently released a statement saying that the three red lights problem is endemic on the Xbox 360 console. The company further said that the price of fixing the three rings of death is more than 200$ and then too the repair might not last long. Even though there are so many hardware faults with the console, it is still very popular among the teenagers of today.
However, to get through to the right person at the repair centre and for them to respond in an adequate manner is still a challenge. Even when a customer is enable to send his/her console to the repair centre, there is no guarantee they will get their own set back. It is believed that they send back used consoles of other complainants after giving them a fixing dose. This discourages the users to resort to repair centers for fixing of Xbox 360.
